Jashyah Moore Has Been Found Safe
Surveillance video shows the teen entering the deli with what is being described as an “older male” who paid for her items at the register, but the police chief says the video does not show them leaving the store together.
Authorities and family members are continuing their desperate hunt for a 14-year-old New Jersey girl who has been missing since last month when she went to pick up groceries at a deli.
During a press conference on Tuesday, authorities said they are still looking for Jashyah Moore and are exploring several leads, with the Essex County Prosecutor's Office now in charge of the case.
Jashyah's mother said police she last saw her daughter on October 14th, when she went into Poppie's Deli on Central Avenue in East Orange to buy groceries. She was never seen again.

Police say the man seen on the video has been cooperating with them and so has Moore’s stepfather, who is currently involved in a domestic violence case against her mother.
Jashyah Moore's family and neighbors formed their own search party on Tuesday night. Jamie Moore, her mother, is adamant that she did not flee.
Jamie Moore explained, "She's depending on me to find her."
A nearby park and body of water were also investigated, but nothing was found. Authorities are keeping a close eye on the investigation.
Ted Stephens, the acting Essex County Prosecutor, said that his office will lead the inquiry.
