In Trenton, a Multi-Alarm Fire has Displaced Nine Households

800 block of East State Street in Trenton

On Saturday morning, a fire burned nine families' houses on East State Street in Trenton, forcing them to flee.

According to Red Cross New Jersey's social media, a disaster action team is aiding the nine families, totaling 26 individuals, with temporary shelter, food, clothes, and other emergency needs.

Five residences in Trenton's 800 block of East State Street were destroyed by a multi-alarm fire early Saturday morning. In near-freezing weather, city firefighters battled the flames.

The fire was reported around 2:15 a.m. and placed under control at 4:30 a.m.

The fire affected multiple homes and one person was rescued from the flames. There’s no word on that person’s condition at this time.
