Rutgers University Announced on Monday that all of its Employees, from Professors to Dining Hall Workers, must be Vaccinated by December 8 or Face Termination
All staff at Rutgers University, from tenured professors to dining hall laborers, must be completely vaccinated against coronavirus by December 8 or risk losing their jobs.
Rutgers stated it wishes to comply with President Joe Biden's demand that federal contractors be vaccinated against COVID-19, which was issued on September 9. Because Rutgers receives government grants and subsidies, it considers all of its employees to be in this category.
"Other state or municipal rules, regulations, laws, or executive orders are superseded by President Biden's executive order. It does not provide for regular testing for employees who do not want to be vaccinated "Antonio Calcado, Rutgers' Chief Operating Officer, made the announcement.
While Rutgers will consider medical/religious exemptions, Calcado added that "presenting confirmation of full immunization by December 8 is not optional." "Failure to show proof of complete immunization by December 8 or acquire a University-approved exemption will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination."
Employees at Rutgers must upload their vaccination card.
