Parts of I-287 South in Bridgewater were closed overnight after a tractor-trailer with fireworks caught fire.

The incident happened near Exit 14, two left lanes.

One of the vehicles, which may have been transporting between 5,000 and 10,000 lbs. of fireworks and caustic substance, appeared to have caught fire.

Exit 21A on I-287 North, which connects commuters to I-78 West, is still closed due to the sinkhole.
