CONCHITA THE HERO!

Conchita Help Save a 9-year-old boy Drowning in a Pool

Lieutenant Charlee-Jo Steet, Tuckerton Station Commander, welcomed Conchita Pedraza-Garcia, her mother and sister to the station.

Lieutenant Steet and the Tuckerton troopers recognized Conchita for her quick actions during a medical assist recently.
On June 18, Conchita was at a family gathering within Tuckerton’s station area when she observed a 9-year-old boy drowning in a pool.

Without hesitation, Conchita alerted adults of the drowning boy and life-saving measures began immediately.

The little boy was transported to an area hospital and has since made a full recovery.

We commend Conchita for recognizing that the boy was in distress and her quick thinking to get an adult. Her actions undoubtedly prevented a tragedy!

You are a hero, Conchita!
