Bear a Runaway Service Dog Swims Across the Hudson River to NJ

A service dog named Bear jumped into the Hudson River and swam to New Jersey. Bear's owner, Ellen Wolpin, says the dog ran off after being spooked. Woplin received Bear last week as a service dog for her special needs son who suffers from seizures. Watch the video interview.

Troopers Pull Suicidal Female from Overpass Recently, troopers from Troop "C" Bordentown Station rescued a suicidal woman attempting to jump from an overpass in Mount Laurel, Burlington County. On November 29, Troopers Michael Basti and Stephen McDonald were dispatched to the State Highway 38 overpass on Interstate 295 for the report of a person sitting on the edge of the bridge. When troopers arrived, they made contact with an 18-year-old woman in a state of emotional distress.

State Troopers Respond to a Missing Person call from the woods of Stokes State Forest

New Jersey State Police Sussex Station Troopers responded to a missing person call a few days before Christmas. A man left his residence in an Ultra Terrain Vehicle (UTV) and was not heard from in 24 hours. Troopers conducted a search of the area and eventually located UTV tracks that led them deep into the woods of Stokes State Forest. The tracks led Troopers to the UTV that was disabled by a downed log and multiple boulders, but the man was not with the vehicle.
