After learning that their loved one wasn't in the casket during the funeral service, a family filed a lawsuit against the funeral home in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

The Central Funeral Home of New Jersey and Blackley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. of Ridgefield are being sued by the family of 93-year-old Kyung Ja Kim for placing another woman's body inside of their mother's casket.

The claim is for $50 million.

In November 2021, Kyung Ja died away, and the funeral home picked up her body to prepare it for a traditional Korean burial that would take place three days later.
