Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at the American Dream mall on Thursday evening, sending shoppers fleeing for cover.
Around 8:20 p.m., the
New Jersey State Police tweeted that the incident had been resolved "It was established that he was not an active shooter. The mall has been secured, and troopers are removing patrons in a safe manner.
The door to the American Dream will remain shut."
Police haven't released anything about the event, which happened around 5:50 p.m., or whether anyone was hurt.
Isabella O'Malley, 23, was with her mother and younger brother on the third level of the mall when she heard two bullets, according to her.
