Todd Frazier Donates to the Field of Dreams

Frazier contributes to the realization of Field of Dreams for Special Needs.

A hometown connection can often be all that's required to get an idea off the ground, whether it's for a small business, a community project, or, in Christian Kane's case, a Field of Dreams. Todd Frazier, a former MLB All-Star, happened to be his hometown connection.

After hearing from Gavin Kane, a Toms River boy who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a vehicle accident in 2012, Frazier gave $50,000 to assist establish the Todd Frazier Special Needs Baseball League at the property at the Toms River Field of Dreams.

Kane wanted to play in a special needs baseball league, but the nearest site was 90 minutes away from his home. It prompted his father, Christian, to open a one-of-a-kind special needs facility in Toms River, complete with a playground, basketball court, baseball field, and other amenities.

The Kane family reached out to Frazier, who made a donation to help contribute to the dream which become reality on April 30, 2022.
