11-year-old Nicole Galarza Murillo died of the injuries she sustained in a go-kart crash in Jackson earlier this month, according to authorities and family members. Nicole was riding a go-kart that hit a tree stump and flipped in the area of Parkside Drive at about 3:40 p.m. on May 15, Jackson police said. She was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with what police called a serious head injury. Services for Nicole were held Tuesday in Neptune, according to a GoFundMe established to raise money for her funeral expenses.
