Missing 4-year-old boy found in NJ lake – Pronounced dead at hospital

The body of a 4-year-old missing child from Mercer County was discovered in a lake in Hamilton Township. Reports of a missing youngster brought police to the Overlook Avenue neighborhood in Mercer County. The 4-year-old child was last seen about 4 p.m. that day but had been missing since 5 p.m. Around 6 o'clock in the evening, police officers scoured the neighborhood and discovered the youngster in Spring Lake in John A. Roebling Memorial Park drowned.

Heavy Rain Triggers Flooding, Swamps Cars in New Jersey

Severe storms caused flooding in New Jersey. The Rain poured down and drivers had their flashers on along 287. Some pulled over to wait it out. A powerful storm triggered flooding in parts of the area, including in Teterboro, N.J., where some cars got stranded by rising water.

The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public's assistance with locating John Dayton, 55, of Woodbine, Cape May County. John was last seen around February 2 in the area of Franklin Street in Woodbine. He is described as a white male, approximately 5'9", 180 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes. John is known to frequent Smokey's Meat Market in Woodbine and Bubba's Discount Liquor Store on Delsea Drive in Vineland.
