The Belmar Police Department received a report of swimmers in distress off the 8th Avenue beach jetty area. When patrols arrived on scene, multiple unaffiliated bystanders were attempting to make the rescue, however their attempts were unsuccessful. Shortly after multiple Belmar Lifeguards/ Water Rescue members entered the water and were able to rescue a group of swimmers in destress.
A 17-year-old high school student has died following a two-car crash in Burlington County, New Jersey, according to family members. The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday at Stokes Road and Pawnee Trail in Medford Lakes.
Authorities in New Jersey have recovered the bodies of two swimmers who drowned at Mine Hill Beach on Sunset Lake in Morris County. The victims, a 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man, were last seen just after 5 p.m. Tuesday, when they went into the water and didn't come out. Witnesses told police they saw the pair enter from sand pits on the west side of the lake.

Peter Meyers was last seen leaving his place of employment, Resintech Inc. located at 1801 Federal Street in Camden New Jersey, on June 3, 2022. On June 6, 2022 Meyers’ vehicle was located unoccupied on an unpaved roadway in Wharton State Forest (Waterford, NJ).
